# Register a clinic for claiming

> **Note**
>
> Follow these steps for each clinic that claims or uses the AIR. A clinic that does neither needs none of them, as [Does your clinic need to register it?](/minor-id#does-your-clinic-need-to-register-it) sets out.

#### Get your Minor ID

Each clinic gets its Minor ID from RebateRight, on request. Email [hello@rebateright.com.au](mailto:hello@rebateright.com.au) and we will send you:

* A unique **Minor ID** for each clinic location.
* RebateRight's **PRODA Organisation Registration Authority (RA) number**. The clinic enters it on the HW027 form in the next step, to link the Minor ID to RebateRight.

If you are setting up several clinics at once, tell us. We will issue a pool of Minor IDs in advance, for you to assign as each clinic comes online.

#### Complete the HW027 form

Download and complete the [HW027 form](https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/hw027) from Services Australia. The HW027 is the **Online Claiming Provider Agreement**. It registers the clinic's **bank details** for electronic funds transfer (EFT) with Medicare. It also links the Minor ID and ties it to the clinic's first provider number.

Each clinic completes the HW027 **once**, however many practitioners it has. Step 4 covers practitioners who join later.

> **Note**
>
> **AIR.** A clinic that records immunisations on the AIR completes the HW027 too, including a clinic that does not claim. [Setting up for the AIR](/air-only-clinics) sets out what else it needs.

#### Submit the form

Follow the submission instructions on the form. Processing takes about **5 business days**. After that, the clinic is ready to submit claims through RebateRight.

To confirm that processing is complete, call Medicare eBusiness on **1800 700 199**. Services Australia does not always send a notice when it finishes.

#### Link additional practitioners

After Services Australia approves the clinic's HW027, you can link more practitioners to the Minor ID without another form.

For each additional practitioner:

1. Decide whose bank account their claims are paid into: their own, or a payee provider's. [Who gets paid](/bulk-bill-claim#who-gets-paid) explains the payee provider.
2. Link the provider number to the Minor ID through **Medicare eBusiness**, on **1800 700 199** or at **[ebusiness@servicesaustralia.gov.au](mailto:ebusiness@servicesaustralia.gov.au)**.

> **Note**
>
> One representative of your organisation can contact **Medicare eBusiness** and link every provider number to the Minor ID at once.

> **Warning**
>
> Linking through Medicare eBusiness works only when the practitioner's claims are paid into a **bank account already registered** against that Minor ID. To add or change a payee provider's bank account, the payee provider completes an **HW052** or an **HW027**, or updates the account online in Health Professional Online Services (HPOS).

If your clinic is moving from other software, [Use RebateRight alongside your current software](/switching-software) shows how to keep claiming through both while you move.
